Novato Blue Ribbon Coalition for Youth
Working together to create a community that understands, supports and involves youth.
The Novato Youth Council is a group of 10 high-school students
working as part of the Novato Blue Ribbon Coalition for Youth and Healthy Novato.
Youth Council members provide their perspective to the Coaltion's work, support the
involvement of other youth and tackle community level prevention projects.
Through their participation on the Youth Council, youth have opportunities to:
* Develop and practice leadership skills;
* Develop trusting relationships with adult allies on a community-wide effort;
* Learn about evidence-based prevention strategies;
* Improve the health and safety in their community; and
* Build new relationships.
